Coach Jeff can help with Triathlon Swim Programs for all levels, Sprint to Ironman. Each design is customized for the athletes ability and desired outcome.
SPRINT DISTANCE – 400-600 yards
For Novice to Advanced
- Will create a design of training specially tailored to the athlete
- Design will be based on the individuals level of endurance, and threshold endurance
- Through interval training, speed work, and power swimming
NOVICE: slow, even paced, comfort level swimming.
INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED: Enduro 1, enduro 2, interval training for bursts of speed and power within an open water training session, tweaking the start, buoy turns, and finish.
OLYMPIC DISTANCE – 0.9 mile swim
For Novice to Elite
- Set up a specialized open water training design for a .9 mile Swim, including:
- All of the above yardage design, and conditioning
- Plus:
- Race starts
- Sighting
- Buoy turns
- Drafting
- Triathlon – swim finish to transition
HALF IRONMAN – 1.2 mile swim
For Intermediate to Elite
- Set up specialized open water training design for a 1.2 mile swim
- All of the above yardage design for Olympic and Sprint Distances
- Plus:
- Discussion of event location
- Type of venue
- Variables involved
- Mental preparation
IRONMAN – 2.4 mile swim
For Intermediate to Elite
Follow all of the above training
- Design is specifically tailored to 2.4 miles of swimming
- All of the above yardage design, and conditioning
- 1:1 Consultation
- Consideration of time constraint/sacrifice
- Venue location – strategies
- The expanding wide range of variables
- The mental, emotional and physical drive it will require
